A five round swiss tournament in four sections:

Open, Major (U-155), Internediate (U-125), Minor (U-95)

This is part of the Bristol Chess Grand Prix (x10)

Prize Fund (all sections) 1st:£130, 2nd: £80, 3rd: £40

Entry Fees:

  • All Sections £20
  • Following may deduct £60 from their entry fee: UB40, Students, Registered Disabled, OAP, Juniors (only one reduction per entry)
  • In addition, BCF direct members may deduct £3
  • Late fee (on the day) £5

Timetable:

  • Round 1: Fri,     19th August - 18:45
  • Round 2: Sat,    20th August - 10:00
  • Round 3: Sat,    20th August - 15:00
  • Round 4: Sun,   21st August - 10:00
  • Round 5: Sun,   21st August - 15:00

Rate of play: 40 moves in 100 minutes then all moves in 20 minutes
Bye: Competitors may claim a half point bye in any of the first four rounds.
